The Katoke Teachers College, commonly referred to as Chuo Cha Ualimu Katoke,
Katoke Teachers College is the Government owned College located in Muleba district about 23 Kilometers from Muleba District headquarters and 50 Kilometers distance from Bukoba town.
The land where the College is located was formally owned by Waalayan Missionaries from South Africa who later in 1930 sold it to the Anglican Missionaries (Church Missionary Society) for the purpose of evangelization and provision of Education
In 1937 the missionaries introduced the teacher training course and in 1940 the first bunch of graduates completed their course.The college was by then under the fisrt principal Rev. Bakewell
Following the Arusha Declaration and nationalization programme of 1960s the College was made a Government owned College and the fisrt African Principal Mr. Harun D. Sembuche was appointed.
Recently the college proceeds with teacher Training mission under the outstanding leadership of Mr. Lucal Samwel, offering Grade A Certificate and Diploma in Primary Education.
