Chipolopolo midfielder Clatous Chota Chama has been handed a three match ban by the Tanzanian Premier League Board.
Chama has been banned together with Young Africans (Yanga) Stephane Aziz Ki for avoiding greeting the players of the opposing team before the start of the Kariakoo Derby (Simba Vs Young Africans).
According to reports in Tanzania the duo have also been fined Shs 500, 000 (K3,475) for the incident that happened in the derby which ended in a 1-1 draw on 23rd October.
The punishment is in accordance with the observance of the principle 41:5 (5.4) of the Tanzania Ligi Kuu regarding the stability of the players after the operation and management committee of the Premier League Board (TPLB) in its meeting on November 4.
Chama will now miss Wekundu Wa Msimbazi’s next three matches against Singida Big Stars, Ihefu and Namungo FC.
