About Besha Health Training Institute
The BESHA Health Training Institute (BHTI) established in 2012 is an Institute belonging to the BESHA Community Organization (BCO). As an Institute, our core responsibility is to provide a conducive environment for teaching and learning, knowledge generation and community health service.
The training programs that are offered have been carefully designed to suit a reasonable range of medical service clientele. Individual students have the opportunity to choose program depending on their interest and convenience.

Besha Health Training Institute Entry Requirements
Applicants, who aspire to be admitted into our Institute must also be registered by NACTE and should meet the following minimum entry requirements.
- Technician Certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences (Duration: Two (2) years)
- Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with five (5) Passes in non-religious Subjects including “D” Passes in Chemistry, Biology, Physics/Engineering Sciences, Basic Mathematics and English Language.
- Ordinary Diploma in Clinical Medicine (Duration: Three (3) years)
- Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with four (4) Passes in non-religious Subjects including “D” Passes in Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Engineering Sciences a Pass in Basic Mathematics and English Language is an added advantage.
- Ordinary Diploma in Clinical Medicine (Upgrading) (Duration: One (1) year)
- Holder of Technician Certificate (NTA level 5) in Clinical Medicine with “D” pass in Biology, Chemistry or Physics (CSEE) for the graduates starting from 2010; OR Graduates before NTAs system should have certificate in Clinical Medicine and at least D Pass in any of science subject; Necessary Attachments: Technician Certificate and Transcript in Clinical Medicine and Letter of permission from employer for graduates before 2015.
- Ordinary Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences (Duration: Three (3) years)
- Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with five (5) Passes in non-religious Subjects including “D” Passes in Chemistry, Biology, Physics/Engineering Sciences, Basic Mathematics and English Language.
Application with foreign certificate
Applicants with foreign certificates will be required to submit their certificates to the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) for equivalence. They can download equivalence form by visiting: http:/www.necta.go.tz/fomu.html.
NB: Admission should last for 3 weeks from the date of commencement of each academic calendar.
