About Tumaini University Makumira Dar es Salaam College
Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College (TUMADARCo) is a constituent college of Tumaini University Makumira in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College (TUDARCo) is a centre for quality education, offering a diverse range of academic qualifications. We offer quality teaching and learning facilities, advice and support for students, to enable them succeed in achieving their academic goals. Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College (TUDARCo) is one of four constituent colleges of Tumaini University Makumira (TUMA). The other three are Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College (KCMC), Stefano Moshi Memorial University College and Josiah Kibira University College. In addition, TUMA has Mbeya Teaching Centre. TUDARCo is owned by the Evangelical Lutheran Church, however, recruitment of staff and admission of students is irrespective of their faith.
Certificate of Full Registration was granted in 2007. TUDARCo was awarded its Charter on 20th August, 2013 by HE The President of the United Republic of Tanzania. The College student population has grown over the years and the College has expanded its teaching facilities, starting from one Campus rented at Tanganyika Motors in the city centre to three more rented facilities at Kurasini Lutheran Congregation, Kinondoni Lutheran congregation and the Tanzania Institute of Education and lastly its own and permanent premises at the Light Industries Area in Mwenge where all student and staff are accommodated in a brand new and very modern ten storey building. The building has modern teaching and learning facilities. The building has the capacity to accommodate over 2,500 students.
