What are MZUMBE entry requirements?
MZUMBE Entry requirements are formal criteria you must meet in order to be considered for a degree course you’re applying to at the Mzumbe University (MZUMBE).
These criteria are set by the Mzumbe University, to determine whether you’re capable of meeting its objectives. This is based on relevant or similar skills, knowledge and ability you’ve demonstrated in previous qualifications, exams and assessments – see below the full list of entry requirements you might need to meet, for a given course at the Mzumbe University (MZUMBE).
The following is the Mzumbe University Entry requirements, every prospective student at the Mzumbe University is recommended to read the Entry requirements before applying for Admission to any academic programme available at MZUMBE for the 2021/2022 Academic Year.
GENERAL MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
(a) Direct Entry Qualifications
(i) Must hold at least One Principal pass and one subsidiary pass at A-Level; and
(ii) The applicant must have at least three credit passes at O-Level.
(b) Equivalent Entry Qualifications
(i) Appropriate Certificate from an accredited institution of at least Lower Second Class Division or 2.7 GPA. In
addition, the candidate must have at least four passes at Certificate of Secondary Education Examination
(O-Level).
(ii) Specific entry requirements are presented in each programme in section D below.

- The applicant must have at least two principal level passes at ALevel, provided that the total number of points is at least 4.5 with EXCEPTION of Bachelor of Science with Education programme (MU025) offered in Faculty of Science and Technology which requires at least 4.0 Alevel points.
- For purposes of calculating minimum cutoff points in (ii) above, the scale is as follows; A=5; B=4; C=3; D=2; E=1; S=0.5. For candidates who sat for their Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination in 2014 and 2015, the required scale is as follows; A=5; B+=4; B=3; C=2; D=1; E=0.5. Also note that, for the candidates who sat for their Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination in 2014 and 2015, the Principal Pass starts with C.
