Minaki Secondary School Description
The school was hundred years in old in 1969 yet in 2000 the 75 anniversary of the same school was celebrated. This seemingly contradictory phenomena was due to the fact that St. Andrew’s has grown in two distinct phases: 1869-1925 and 1925 – 2019. The former was at Kiungani, Zanzibar and the latter is at Minaki phase. And so 1969 marked the centenary of the phase, while in 2000 was the 75 anniversary of the second phase. Before Minaki was owned by Anglican church but after Tanganyika got her independence the president J.K. Nyerere through Declaration of Arusha Minaki taken to be under control of Tanzania government (as a government school up to date).
SCHOOL MISSION: THROUGH THE EDUCATION PROCESS THE SCHOOL ASPIRES TO PRODUCE QUALITY HUMAN RESOURCE WHO WILL TAKE PART IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COUNTRY.
