Kibasila Secondary School is located at Dar es salaam. Kibasila Secondary School is boys and girls school and it is doing well in Elimu ya dini ya kiislamu, Food and nutrition and Literature in english than all subjects. Despite the effort in teaching, Kibasila Secondary School is still considered as yellow school
SCHOOL BACKGROUND
The school was established in 1951 by the Goan Catholic community and was called St. Xavier’s secondary school. The present school was built in 1954 and it has been a government school since 1970.
A primary school was housed on the same premises for several years until 1978.
LOCATION
The school is located at sub-urban area chang’ombe South of Dar es Salaam. The school is surrounded by Chang’ombe road, Mandela road, a primary school and a yard.
EDUCATION LEVEL AND BIAS
The school comprises the ordinary level form I – IV and advanced level form V- VI and is commercial biased.
It is co-education and they are all day pupils leaving in different areas in Dar es Salaam.
The subjects taught in this school are Civics, English Language, Kiswahili, Geography, History, Basic Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Book-Keeping, Commerce, Needle work, Cookery, Physical Education, Information Technology, Literature in English, French and Religion subjects while Advanced level the subjects taught are Accounts, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Commerce, Geography, History, Kiswahili and English Language.

The total enrollment is 1967 students as follows:-
- Form I – 306 Students
- Form II – 471 Students
- Form III – 379 Students
- Form IV – 483 Students
- Form V – 136 Students
- Form VI – 194 Students
STAFF
The school has got one headmistress, one first deputy headmistress, and one second deputy headmistress, and 123 other teachers. The teachers have got adequate qualification.
The school also has the ancillary staff consists of one laboratory technician, one store-keeper, one record keeper, one typist, three watchmen, two messenger, one matron, one librarian and four cleaners totally fifteen (15).
PHYSICAL FACILITIES
Kibasila secondary school consists of three buildings, one block building containing form V and VI classrooms, and a staff room, one 3-storey building containing teaching and administration facilities, one 2-storey building containing school dispensary, school library, needle work and cookery rooms, and English resources center room.
TEACHING AND LEARNING MATERIALS
The school is equipped with enough reference books, students’ books and teachers’ guide books.
Computers for students opted ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and needle work and cookery facilities for students who opted those subjects are also available.
SUMMARY
The enrollment at Kibasila secondary school could be increased to 2,100 students without any additional building. Teaching and administration facilities are enough to cater the increased enrollment.
